Join Us in Welcoming the New Members of AAHFN
| Meet one of the newest members of AAHFN, Jenny Wiley! She graduated from Winona State University with her BSN and BS in Exercise Science with a cardiac rehabilitation focus. While Jenny attended WSU, she had the opportunity to intern on a cardiac step-down floor; she worked with heart failure patients and became interested in that patient population. Jenny has been a nurse for 8 years. She has worked for the last 1 ˝ years with a cardiology clinic at Metropolitan Heart and Vascular Institute of Coon Rapids Minnesota (not far outside of Minneapolis). Jenny and her co-worker Robin, along with the clinic’s cardiologist have started an exercise program exclusively for HF patients. This data/research focuses on decreasing 30 day readmission rates. This abstract has been accepted for poster presentation this September at HFSA in San Diego! Jenny’s favorite part of working with HF patients is making a difference and seeing the results of patient education. Jenny enjoys spending time with her husband; boating, skiing or hanging out watching reality television shows with her 2 retrievers. Jenny looks forward to her membership with AAHFN in order to network and get ideas to provide quality care for her patients. Welcome Jenny!
