AAHFN is committed to protecting the privacy of our members and the visitors to our site. We will treat your data with care and respect, and we know that you care how information and data about you is collected, used and shared. You can visit most pages on our site without giving us any personal information about yourself. But sometimes we do need personal information to provide the services that you request. This Privacy Statement describes our privacy policy and details how we collect, use, and/or disseminate the information you provide or that is collected from the website. This privacy statement only applies to AAHFN.org; it does not apply to other online or offline AAHFN sites, products or services. And, we reserve the right to change this Statement at any time, and urge you to review our Statement regularly to familiarize yourself with any changes.

By visiting our website, using our online services, and/or by voluntarily submitting information to us via online forms, membership applications, public forums on the site, and/or electronic mail, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Statement.

Collection of Information
We reserve the right to collect non-personally identifiable information about you in a number of ways, including tracking your activities on both our site and online through your IP address, computer settings, or most recently visited URL. When you view our website we may store some information on your computer. This information may be in the form of a “cookie” or a similar file. Cookies are small pieces of information stored on your hard drive, not our site. Cookies do not spy on you or otherwise invade your privacy, and they do not invade your hard drive and steal information. Rather, they help you to navigate our website as easily as possible. Cookies merely track aggregate information on how our site and/or the online form is being viewed and/or used, including navigation patterns, pages visited, etc., together with your user identity. Collection of your Personal Information

Generally, this information is requested when you are registering before entering a contest, ordering e-mail newsletters, joining the association, signing up for an event or training, or when purchasing and/or registering for AAHFN products, but may be collected for other reasons. AAHFN.org collects personal information, such as, but not limited to, name, physical address, e-mail address, phone number and location, and other information when needed to provide a service you requested.
For example: If you choose a service or transaction that requires payment, such as making a purchase in the “AAHFN Store” location of the website, we will request personal information necessary for billing and/or shipping, such as: name, address, telephone number, and credit card number.

When you buy and install a new product, we may ask you to register your purchase electronically. We keep this registration information on file with any information you've already given us on previous visits to our Web site.

AAHFN.org also collects certain information about your computer hardware and software. This information may include: your IP address, browser type, operating system, domain name, access times and referring Web site addresses. This information is used for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of AAHFN.org.

AAHFN.org also collects information about which pages our customers visit within AAHFN.org. This site visitation data is identified only by a unique ID number, and it is never linked with personal information unless a user consents as described below.

Generally, your personal information will be used by AAHFN to provide only the service you have requested. But, we may also use this information to deliver to you information about AAHFN, and promotional materials from both AAHFN and companies in whom you may be interested. To opt out of future contact, you may contact the membership department using this site's contact form.

• To help us create and publish content most relevant to you.

• To alert you to product upgrades, special offers, updated information and other new services from AAHFN, if you so request.

In some limited-entry sections of AAHFN.org, with your approval, we will combine site-visitation data with your personal information in order to provide you with personalized content. If you decline permission, we will not provide you the personalized service and won't merge your personal information with site-visitation data.

We occasionally hire other companies to provide limited services on our behalf, including packaging, mailing and delivering purchases, answering customer questions about products or services, sending postal mail and processing event registration. We will only provide those companies the information they need to deliver the service, and they are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose.
Your information may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country in which AAHFN or its affiliates, subsidiaries or agents maintain facilities, and by using this site, you consent to any such transfer of information outside of your country.

Updating Information
AAHFN.org allows its users the option to update, change, or modify any information that was previously provided. To update your information, use your member management page.

Our site has industry standard security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. While there is no such thing as “perfect security” on the Internet, AAHFN.org takes all reasonable steps to insure the safety of your personal information.

Public Forums
This site makes use of chat rooms, forums, message boards, and/or newsgroups available to the users. Please remember that any information disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when disclosing your personal information in these areas. In these areas, users you do not know can collect whatever information you decide to post or express. While AAHFN.org strives to protect its users' personal information and privacy, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you disclose online and, as such, you do so at your own risk.
