Kismet works as a Nurse Practitioner with the Heart Failure Prevention and Treatment Program with end-stage heart failure, heart transplant, and mechanically supported patients for Intermountain Healthcare in Salt Lake City. She has numerous heart failure publications and speaks nationally on heart failure and women and heart disease. Her special interests relate to Peripartum Cardiomyopathy, patients with mechanical support, and heart failure processes of care. Kismet is the chair of the publications committee for the American Association of Heart Failure Nurses, and serves on the nursing committee for the Heart Failure Society of America.
