Julie Packer, RN, MSN serves as the Director of Professional Relations for Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of Catawba Valley, Newton, North Carolina. She has a 27 year history in hospice care, working in various clinical , management, and marketing roles, following receipt of her BSN from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her MSN from Duke University. Having served hospice communities in western North Carolina, southern California, and in Oregon, Ms. Packer’s current focus has been on improving hospice access through education to the physician, healthcare, and lay communities in the Catawba Valley, NC. She also serves as the Coordinator for the Catawba Valley Partnership for End of Life Care, and is on the NC Live Steering Committee for the Carolinas Center for End of Life Care.
